Business Development and Sales Manager, Mobile Location: Milpitas, CA Position type: full-time permanent Job description: A leading supplier of document recognition and linguistic technologies is looking for a Business Development and Sales Manager who will be energized with the opportunity of calling directly on a mobile ISV's and predefined set of OEM organizations to develop demand for the company's mobile applications and SDK. This person will provide direct assistance to key customers as well as drive new sales revenue from OEM technology licenses. Participate in pre-sales proof of concept projects, and regional development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven sales record in OEM and ISV businesses. You are a strong team player and responsible for building your book of business. You love working with the internet, email, IM, chat and the telephone and are relentless in your pursuit of new business. You will be measured on the successful revenue production within your assigned geography or account base. *** If you know Russian (or any Slavic Language) - it is a BIG PLUS for this position. *** Responsibilities: To increase sales is the single most important responsibility for the Business Development and Sales Manager - Drive additional Technology sales from ISV's
- Draft proposals, prepare quotations, and coordinate with internal departments to come up with solutions for the prospective customers
- Collaborate with Management to assist in negotiations, develop and maintain contracts and legal documentation for new business
- Provide research, analysis and proactive ideas to drive new business by gathering market information. Detecting and focusing on the most promising market segments, catching new market trends and develop attractive proposals for fast-raising areas
- Project management. Organize complex project work streams into a comprehensive program; coordinate work projects as needed of team members.
- Participate in related trade shows and events
- Manage OEM Meetings and customer communications professionally and with excellent customer service
Qualifications: - 5+ years of sales experience
- Experience working with Software Engineering teams at startup companies
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take a leadership role in interfacing with customers, project managers and field teams to identify business problems and help create solutions that achieve targeted business results like cost savings, client satisfaction and technology adoption
- Ability to engage and influence technology management and IT C-level executives on solutions proposed by the company.
- Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional Demeanor and client focused attitude
- Business level of English is required.
- BS degree in CS or related discipline
- Mobility. Ability and willingness to travel on an inter-regional basis
- Willingness to travel (expected 30%)
Pluses: - Knowledge of Russian language is big plus.
- Knowledge of mobile technologies and products is preferred
- Experience with SaaS and Cloud technologies
- Advanced degree in technical discipline
- Software Engineering background
